Arriving in Utah, in the dead of winter, a foot of snow, his wheels all freeze and go flat...

Then he gets evicted and lives out of his van that winter before finding an apartment for his cat named, Celise, and his IBM Selectric typewriter. (Which was stolen by some relatives but recovered by the Sherriffs...)

Recorded in Utah, this 4-track album was MASTERED IN UTAH, but not released until after Coyote was hundreds of miles away from the Mormons. (Most of them.)

Some songs from the LEVEL 1 cd are played on this podcast radio show hosted by DJ Coyote. Reciting poems, reading webstories, and performing songs live fill in the spaces between Coyote's jokes and comments on American Zen's Buddhist path to nirvana and enlightenment.
