Standing outside his bedroom door in Bonita, California, Coyote was transfixed, staring at his yellow-paged legal pad, hanging on his door, with pen on a string. Something needed to be written. Coyote picked up the pen. About ten minutes later, the poem, "Insecticide Soup," was completed.
Somehow this apocalyptic poem inspired or transported his imagination into another dimension where Coyote saw life from two more perspectives. The first was like a memory of his soul before being imported into his current body. The other was of lives and lifes and learnings of life that created a value for life that could be measured.
After writing this book, Coyote threw away his Zenith television and didn't watch TV for the next half dozen years. (He played his guitar and flute instead.)
